Dusseldorf [DUS]
Nursing Mothers Room:
Location: Not so much a nursing room, but they have many family restrooms throughout the concourse, there was even one as we walked off the plane.
Access: Standard restroom access.
Set-up: The three (3) different family restrooms that we used were very spacious and had a changing table. No stepstool at the sink, but they did have a chair to strap baby in if helping another child. They were clean and easy to access with luggage and strollers.
Other: Getting through customs was very easy. It is a small airport, very smooth exit. Once through, however, we had a nightmare of an experience getting our luggage. The airline literally didn’t bring it for two (2) hours and once down in the baggage hall there were minimal distractions for kids, no food outside of a vending machine and you couldn’t leave and re-enter, so literally hundreds of people were stuck there and the staff did not care nor make any effort to assist. We were on Eurowings (flew United but they farmed out this leg of the flight to Eurowings and then said they had no obligation). We thought we’d made it by that point, but turns out, that last bit was most trying for our kiddos, so have some snacks and water just in case.
